My old friend’s said goodbye to the west, here at Yellow Crane Tower;
故人西辤黃鶴樓，

In the misty, flowery third month he goes down to Yangzhou.
烟花三月下揚州。

His lone boat drifts into the endless blue—
孤帆遠影碧空盡，

Only the Yangtze glimmers at the far edge of the sky.
唯見長江天際流。
